Explore the World Beyond the Curtain
This 5-lesson course is designed to introduce students to the study of drama using their brains and their bodies! Students will reinforce skills fundamental to reading comprehension while building confidence in understanding and participating in dramatic texts. (Not to mention having fun!) This course includes a wide range of activities, from improv games around names and concepts, icebreakers that introduce kids to basic acting techniques, and mapping well-known folk and fairy tales.
Though play is a part of performance, students will also deepen their understanding of reading, acting, and creating character. This course develops vocabulary, empathy, and emotional literacy, informing students’ performances as well as their day-to-day life.
