Let’s Make a Reel (5 Week Session)

Let’s make a film!

Lights! Camera! Action! This course is for students who are passionate in acting and want to make a reel showcasing their talents to share with agents, managers, casting directors, applying for jobs, social media, and more! Students will come up with fun ideas, characters, and/or scripts they’d like to use for their reels. The instructor will help them to choose the best characters/roles/scripts for filming that fit each student.  By the end of 5 week, you will have all the footage done to create your reel!

Whether the student want to be an actor, a director, or a filmmaker, he/she will take away a lot in this 5 week course.

In this course we’ll learn how to take your ideas and execute them through filming using what you have available in your own home. The basics of preparing each scene, characater work, shooting and editing your project in this informative, hands on, and fun class!

• First week: determining character “fits” and what types of scenes to film
• Select scenes to film
• Film initial self-tapes for review/editing
• Shoot the final takes of scenes for each student
• Editing and post-production of reel footage
