Scene Study A

Looking for an acting “workout”?  Come and join our Scene Study class!  Young actors ages 10-15 will gain valuable experience and build their acting techniques and skills.  Plus, young actors will learn to work with other young actors and “dive deep” into an acting scene.

Scene study has long been an excellent tool for actors and this focused class encourages students to grow by working their craft through direct experience.  Our class will dive into short scenes, and students will be guided on how to analyze text and character, get to the “heart” of the scene, practice deep listening, identifying objectives and tactics, and so much more!  In a supportive, nurturing, and fun environment, young actors will work their acting muscles through a series of scene work, both memorized and cold read, and directly practice skills & techniques they have learned in previous classes.  Get ready to “dive deep” into acting scenes!  Prior acting class experience is encouraged.

Students must be able to commit to all five classes and to memorizing 1-2 short scenes.

By the end of the class, students will have a memorized scene or monologue, rehearsed, and showcase their work as a performance. Friends and family are welcomed and invited to last half of the last class.
